The engine has been extensively upgraded with a stroker kit, aftermarket camshaft, roller rockers and lifters, Holley 750 double-pumper carburetor, PerTronix ignition, FPA headers, Edelbrock water pump and fan, and an overhauled fuel system. Dynamometer testing recorded an impressive 376 horsepower and 390.6 lb-ft of torque. The exterior received extensive attention during the restoration, including complete disassembly, media blasting, rust repair, and a professional repaint in Bright Yellow. The bumpers were re-chromed, while the stainless-steel drip rails were straightened and polished. Color-keyed racing mirrors, a rear spoiler, and a replacement windshield complete the exterior presentation. Handling and braking have also been upgraded. The suspension was rebuilt with a larger front sway bar, Koni shocks, and lowering springs. Borgeson power steering provides improved steering response, while power-assisted front disc brakes and stainless-steel brake lines enhance stopping performance. The car rides on 15-inch Magnum 500-style wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Inside, the cabin has been refreshed with Black upholstery, new carpeting, door panels, headliner, dashboard pad, and additional insulation. The original-style AM/FM radio remains integrated into the dashboard, complemented by a Pioneer stereo system connected to a trunk-mounted amplifier and Infinity speakers. A Hurst shifter and additional Stewart-Warner instrumentation add to the performance-oriented character of the interior. The drivetrain was further refined with a Modern Driveline clutch setup, while the Traction-Lok rear end was rebuilt and powder-coated. MagnaFlow mufflers and a revised exhaust system provide an aggressive yet purposeful sound. Documentation and records accompany the vehicle, including historical documentation, a build sheet, service records, and the removed four-speed manual transmission. The car was also featured on the cover of Hagerty magazine following completion of its build, adding an interesting chapter to its history.
